The Best Way To Gain

What You Are Afraid To Do

What is a Doula?

The word “doula” comes from the ancient Greek meaning “ a woman who  serves.” It is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who helps the birthing parent during pregnancy, throughout labor and after to provide emotional, physical and informational support.

Studies have shown that when doulas attend birth, labors are shorter with fewer complications, babies are healthier, they breastfeed more easily and greater satisfaction with birth.

“Doulas are a work of the heart.” devoted, openminded, understanding, loving and accessible.

Making connections giving strength, encouragement, praise, knowledge  and help take away any fears or doubts.  Build trust, listen, sooth and protect.

These are my wishes for you:

  • May you be guided through a birth journey that will be sacred and fulfilling.

  • May you feel safe, loved, supported, comforted and empowered.

  • May you have a safe haven whether you birth in a hospital, birth center, or in the comfort and familiarity of your own home.

  • May you be prepared and have your mind at ease during the transitional period after childbirth.

  • May you believe in the birth experience you envision and do so with joy and without fear.

I offer remote support.

I am here to guide you through your journey even from the comfort of your own home. Even during uncertain times I am only a phone call away.

   A Doulas Promise

You can’t hurt my feelings in labor.

I won’t lie to you in labor.

I will do everything in my power that you will not suffer.
